Blender, Fusion 360 and Rhino can model anything, and a vase is a small slice of anything. If a vessel is what you came to make, VASE 3D gets you there in minutes: shape it by feel in the browser, pattern and glaze it, and export a watertight STL your slicer takes as-is.

There is real work between installing a CAD package and holding a printed pot: viewport navigation, sketches and modifiers, then the manifold checks before the slicer trusts your mesh. That work is worth it when 3D modelling is your craft. It is a long detour when the pot is.

The desktop CAD road

Install a desktop app and learn its viewport, hotkeys and vocabulary.
Sketch a profile and revolve it, or set up a lathe on a curve.
Build the surface pattern by hand: displacement maps, arrays, or sculpting.
Check the mesh is manifold and fix the holes and flipped faces it picked up.
Export, slice, and go back a step when the slicer complains.

Honestly: this studio only makes vessels. If you need characters, mechanical parts, threaded lids or multi-part assemblies, you want real CAD, and Blender and Fusion 360 are superb at it.

Do I need to install anything?
