Questions.
I’ve never used CAD. Is this for me?
Yes. You pull the wall of the pot with a finger or a mouse. There is nothing to sketch first, no coordinates to type and no vocabulary to learn before you start.
Do I have to install anything?
No. VASE 3D runs in your browser, and it installs as an app on phone or desktop if you want it offline.
Will it actually print?
Yes. Every form is a watertight solid by construction, so the exported model is clean and ready for a 3D printer.
What file do I get?
A clean STL, OBJ or GLB, straight from the studio.
Can I try it without paying?
Yes. Shaping, glazing and saving are free, with no card, and Free includes 3 downloads a month, shared with Moldy. Free exports carry a small VASE 3D maker’s mark; paid plans remove it or let you use your own. The studio does ask you to sign in, so your pieces are still there next time.
Who owns what I make?
You do, on every plan, free included. You keep ownership of your designs. See the Terms for the details, or the guide to selling your vases for how the plans map to a stall.
What do Maker and Foundry add over Free?
Maker adds more patterns to shape with, deeper stacking, and a clean base with no forced
mark, at the early bird price of $29 $19 a month or $348 $180 billed once a year. Foundry adds the
complete pattern catalogue, the deepest stacking, and your own custom maker’s mark, at the early

Is there a limit on how much I can export?
On Free you get 3 manufacturing downloads a month, shared between VASE 3D and Moldy. Downloading the same unchanged design again in the same month does not count twice, and the count resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). Maker and Foundry downloads don’t count against this allowance. Every account can export up to 200 files a day. Free keeps up to 25 pieces on your shelf at once, Maker up to 150 and Foundry up to 400. Account sync is capped at 4 MB on every plan.
What is Moldy, and what does it cost?
VASE 3D does not make molds itself. Moldy, our mold planner, opens from the studio at studio.vase3d.io/moldy/ with your solid master and the same account. On Free, a Moldy download comes out of the same 3 downloads a month as a VASE 3D export.
